Vanessa Weinert is a marketing and analytics professional with a demonstrated history of using advanced analytics and data-driven strategies to achieve growth and to meet mission aligned goals in the arts, education, leisure, travel and tourism industries. Her love for research and economics began with a research project in western China on the local and global economies of villages that still produce pottery. Her passion to understand how culture impacts us all began with her work studying cultural and physical anthropology with extensive research trips to China, Turkey, England and Chicago. She has served Chautauqua Institution for 10 years with her current role being the Senior Director of Marketing and Analytics and was elected to Jamestown City Council for the 2018 session. 

 

Vanessa holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Cortland, an MA from Columbia University and an MSc from the London School of Economics.

Personal Interests

Hanging with her tenacious daughter Emma and partner Steve, reading, traveling as much as possible, spending time with family and bringing progressive change to Jamestown and New York State.
